Account Manager Job Description
Account Managers are responsible for making sure the clients’ needs are being met while operating as a liaison between them and Walmart. Your main function will be ensuring everything runs smoothly from a top-line perspective, and communicating effectively any issues or opportunities that could maximize the business. This role will include, but not limited to: sales forecasting, supply chain efficiency, order processing, and meeting prep.
Responsibilities
- Learn and manage sales strategy for multiple clients to ensure growth
- Establish strong business relationships with key decision-makers of assigned accounts
- Identify new opportunities for product introduction
- Investigate the health of sales and supply chain for assigned accounts
- Learn and improve individual skills by attending training sessions
- Share and discuss ideas, knowledge & skills with other account managers
Skills
- Ability to develop and maintain business relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to efficiently handle multiple tasks and ongoing projects
- Highly self-motivated and the ability to take initiative
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc
Preferred
- BS or MS in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related fields
- Experience with retail, supply chain, and relevant portals: Retail Link, 3PLs, etc
